Iron Girl Columbia Half Marathon announcement

Announcing the Iron Girl Columbia Half Marathon (and 5k) in Columbia, Maryland, a scenic course with rolling hills,  taking place in April.

"Join Joan Benoit Samuelson, the inaugural Gold Medalist in the Women's Olympic Marathon, at the first Athleta Iron Girl Columbia 1/2 Marathon on April 29, 2012! Taking place in scenic Howard County, this event will start and finish in Columbia Town Center adjacent to the Columbia Mall on Little Patuxent Parkway."

"The first Iron Girl Half Marthon in the Mid Atlantic, this inspirational all women's event is about empowering women toward a healthy lifestyle, and celebrating your unique grace as you journey toward the finish line. Join other women on the quest to live better and challenge yourself to be the best that you can be!"

This event benefits those living and coping with cancer, raising money and awareness for the Claudia Mayer Cancer Research Center, Howard County General Hospital facility.

Additionally, official members of Fifty States HALF Marathon Club will receive a discount to this event.
